Plastic Airlines is a record label created by the founder of Harmless Records. The label’s main focus is on limited edition vinyl releases. My direction included just one word, ‘airplane’.
Since I knew that the label was sticking strictly to vinyl, I created a circular logo that could easily be transferred to the vinyl labels. The typeface used was Chalet Tokyo, since I thouroughly enjoyed the way that the ‘p’ and the ‘a’ fit with each other. I actually began with the ‘p’ and the ‘a’ when designing this logo, and once those two fell into place the rest of the logo came naturally.
