Johnson & Siuty Wedding Invites

Client
Melissa Johnson & Chris Siuty
Printing
Starshaped Press
Date
March 2008

We go back a long way with Chris, and when he announced his engagement to Melissa, we were all thumbs up and high fives around these parts. When he approached us about doing the invites for the wedding how could we have said no? More importantly, why would we?

In talking with the couple, we learned that they’d be having their wedding ceremony at the Grove in Glenview, IL. It’s a beautiful space that would be in full bloom come the date of their wedding. We used that as the basis of the invitations, putting together a foliage pattern for the outside of the invites, paired with the couple’s initials on one flap and the date of the wedding on the other flap, both of which joined in the middle when the invites were folded. The colors combined an earthy brown and off white with a sky blue, pulling directly from what the space should look like on the day of the event.

Starshaped Press was brought in to print the invites on their early 20th Century letterpress’s that took the invites over the top.
